HAGER HILL, Ky. — A Johnson County man has been arrested on felony charges, after being involved in a wreck while allegedly under the influence. Police were called to a two-car crash on Route 1428, at Hager Hill. When they arrived on the scene, a woman approached to inform them that her father, Phillip Brent Murray, 48, of West Van Lear, was one of the drivers and had been drinking. INEZ, Ky. — A death investigation is underway, after human remains were found Monday evening in Martin County. State troopers were called to the scene of the discovery around 8:30 p.m., Monday. Police say skeletal remains were found in a wooded area along Coldwater Road. The remains were transported to the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Frankfort for identification. Kentucky State Police Det. Tony Tackett is leading the investigation.

JENKINS, Ky. — The City of Jenkins is inviting residents to take part in shaping its upcoming stormwater and flood-mitigation plan. City officials will hold a community meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 28, from 6 to 8 p.m., at Jenkins City Hall.
