PIKEVILLE, Ky. — A Pike County couple has been indicted on charges of child abuse. Kirt Ramey, 30, of Steele, and Teonna McNutt, 24, of Lick Creek, are each charged with first-degree abuse of a child 12 or younger. The indictment gives no details on the nature of the alleged abuse, but says it occurred between March 5 and 21. If convicted, each charge carries a potential sentence of 10-to-20 years in prison. LONDON, Ky. — Two Pike County residents intend to enter guilty pleas in a federal drug conspiracy case within the next week. Wayne Buzzard, 57, of Zebulon Highway, and Cathy McKinney, 54, of Island Creek, were arrested in March as part of a roundup by Pikeville Police. The following month, they were indicted by a federal grand jury on charges of conspiracy to distribute meth and possession of meth with the intent to distribute.
