The Martin County Cardinals picked up a big postseason win Monday night, knocking off Paintsville 72-63 in 15th Region All-A Boys Basketball Tournament action. Martin County had four players finish in double figures, with Braxton Keathley once again leading the way. Keathley poured in 31 points on an efficient night from the floor, shooting 57.1 percent, and continued to be the driving force for the Cardinals. PAINTSVILLE, Ky. — A Johnson County woman is facing drug trafficking and child endangerment charges, after she was reported for not having her children in car seats. Paintsville Police were called Saturday to Euclid Avenue to speak to the woman. When asked why the children were not restrained, she reportedly told them she was “just running to the dollar store.” When asked for her license, she said she didn’t have it with her, but gave police a name and birth date, which didn’t return any results during a records check.
