COLLEGE BASKETBALL: UPIKE drops road game at Shawnee State

The University of Pikeville Bears fell behind by double digits in the opening half and Shawnee State University went on to score a 79-69 win on Saturday.
Teddy Parham Jr. led the Bears, now 14-9, with a game-high 29 points. Keian Worrix added 13 and Korbin Spencer followed with 11.
The Bears will return to the Appalachian Wireless Arena to battle Lindsey Wilson College (8-15) on Thursday night. Game time is 7:30 pm.

COLLEGE BASKETBALL: UPIKE comeback falls short at SSU

The University of Pikeville Bears nearly erased a 30-point, halftime deficit as Shawnee State University held on for an 86-81 win in a game played on Saturday.
Allie Stone finished with 24 points and Bailey Frazier followed with 23 as UPIKE dropped to 18-6. Mary Englert tallied 13.
UPIKE will host Lindsey Wilson College (10-14) on Thursday, Game time is 5:30 pm.
